Employment Insurance Information and Advocacy Services

The Unemployed Workers Centre is a non-profit organization providing information and advocacy services on Employment Insurance. This service is open to everyone in need and no fees are charged for any service.

The Unemployed Workers Centre will:

  • Advise you of your rights & obligations
  • Mediate between you & the Employment Insurance Commission
  • Help prepare & present your EI appeal

The Centre is funded by the Labour Movement in Saskatchewan, the provincial Department of Social Services and the Department of Labour.

Are you having problems obtaining your employment insurance benefits?
Have you been assessed a penalty of overpayment?
Have you been disqualified or disentitled from benefits?
Do you wish to appeal a decision of the Canada Employment & Insurance Commission?

The Unemployed Workers Centre can help you obtain employment insurance benefits to which you may be entitled.

Other Services...

  • Provides public education workshops and seminars on EI issues, policies and procedures.
  • Provides referrals to other social and government agencies which can assist workers during times of unemployment.
